Library History
The public library in Bowman was established in 1913 by the Bowman Women’s Federated Study Club. It was original location was above the Herzog Meat Market. In December 1915, a new library building was given to the library association by J.E. Phelan in memory of his first wife, Clara Lincoln Phelan. In 2006, the library expanded services and moved to its current location, the site of an old Red Owl grocery store.

Library Programs
