Empowered Caregiver Series

An event every week that begins at 1:30 pm on Thursday, repeating until September 26, 2024

The Alzheimer’s Association Minnesota-North Dakota chapter is partnering with local organizations throughout southwest North Dakota on a four-part class series for dementia caregivers. Called the Empowered Caregiver Series, classes will be shown as live broadcasts and includes four parts:

● Building Foundations of Caregiving on Thursday, Sept. 5
● Supporting Independence on Thursday, Sept. 12
● Communicating Effectively Thursday, Sept. 19
● Responding to Dementia-Related Behaviors Thursday, Sept. 26

The classes will provide dementia caregivers with helpful tools and ways to reduce stress. They will be
presented by Alzheimer Association Program Manager Vanessa Hoines and Community Educator
Jacklyn Geiger.

All four classes will be broadcast live from 1:30 – 3 p.m. MT and they are open to the public at no cost. To register, call the Bowman Regional Public Library at (701) 523-3797. Participants can attend any or all four sessions.
