BYOB (Bring Your Own Book!) Book Club! Always wanted to join a book club but didn’t have the time to commit to the reading or tired of the assigned books? This is the event for you!
It’s a book club with a twist. Instead of reading a pre-determined title, we’ll meet and talk about what you’re currently reading and get suggestions for new titles to try. Can’t wait to talk about your new favorite read? Just want to listen in? Readers of all stripes are welcome.
We’ll meet on Wednesday, August 7th at Noon in the Bowman Regional Public Library. Tasty snacks provided and we’ll feature a different specialty tea for you to sample if you so desire. No registration is required. Age 18+ Join us!
Stop in the Library on Tuesday, July 30rd from 2-5 PM for a Snack Adventure! Each month we’ll pick a different country and feature their favorite snacks. This month is United Kingdom. Sample snacks, rate your favorite! This is a free, all-ages event.
Build the tallest structure that will support our stuffed animals and win a prize! For all ages and no registration is required. We’ll provide all the things to you need.
What flavors of ice cream and soda pairings make the best floats? We’ll attempt to answer this question on Tuesday, July 9th during our Ice Cream Float bar! This is a free event. All-ages welcome.
Join us on Tuesday, July 23rd for a fun and creative afternoon at the library! It’s an Art Buffet!
The tables are loaded with supplies like straws, tissue paper, beads, paint, stamps, glue, and more. Explore the creative process and have some fun! Ages 3 and up. No registration is required.
Spend an afternoon crafting in the Library! Use our button maker and materials like scrapbook paper, old book pages, and graphic novel art to create your own stylish buttons! This is a free event with no registration required.
Join us on Tuesday, June 4th from 2-5 PM for an Ice Cream Sundae Bar. Build your own sundae with our wide array of toppings. This is a free, all ages event. While supplies last!
Can you build an EPIC Marble Run? Come to the Library on Tuesday, June 11th for a Marble Run Challenge! Build a Marble Run using the materials provided. Prizes for fastest run, longest run and most creative run!
We’ll provide all the materials. No registration is required. Fun for all ages.

Summer Reading Adventure! Registration for this year’s Summer Reading Program begins Wednesday, May 22nd. Stop in the Library from 1-3 PM for all the details. The first 35 children to register will receive a book bag with goodies to get them started on their Reading Adventure and their choice of a book they can keep. Set their Reading Challenge Goal and get started on the fun. We have activities for your family planned throughout the Summer.
Adults, pick up a Summer Reading Bingo card! Complete your Bingo and win a fun prize!

Here is an updated calendar of the events we are offering this summer at the Bowman Regional Public Library! Please note: due to limited space and supplies, registration is required. You may register by calling us at 701-523-3797 or emailing us at bowlib@gmail.com. Each event will run twice so be sure to specify which day/time you are registering for.
Calling or emailing is the best way to secure your registration, as social media comments and messages may be accidentally missed, and we cannot guarantee that they will be received in time if events fill up fast.
First off, Summer Reading has begun, and we have fun challenges for all ages. You may grab a challenge to track on paper at the library, or head to bowmanlibrary.beanstack.org to participate online! Read books, track your progress, and earn prizes along the way! Summer Reading challenges will run until August 8th.
Next, we will be bringing back our Tuesday Take-n-Makes in June! Every Tuesday by 1 pm a new craft will be put out in our Take-n-Make bin in front of the library.(This is the only event that doesn’t require registration, as these crafts are first come, first serve. ) They are just free to take and available for all ages! We will continue these throughout the summer and post all instructions here on the blog!
